All yours …

The Boondocks is a celebration of all that is good about the great british festival. It’s your festival, it’s your tribe and it’s the greatest bands you’ve never heard of.

Joining Instructions

Yes, it’s Boondocks this weekend and we’re almost ready for you so, here is everything you’ll need to know before you arrive. Please read it all, as we have a slightly new layout and it’s important you head to the correct gate.

First, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT – if you bought tickets online, download and print them. If you’ve not received an email with a ‘Download Tickets’ button in it, or can’t find it, get in touch.  If you have physical paper tickets from a ticket vendor, bring them with you and have them handy in the car.

All individual tickets have unique ticket numbers so make sure everyone in your party has their own individual ticket. You’ll need to bring these with you and have them ready to show at the gate when you arrive at the Boondocks site.

Also, if there are any Under 18s in your party, make sure that they arrive with the ticket holding adult who is responsible for them. Under 18s will not be wristbanded or let onto site without an adult who is responsible for them, who also has an adult ticket.

Where is it?

For those of you from outside Malmesbury, the official address is “The 15 Acre”, Foxley Road, Malmesbury, Wiltshire SN16 0JQ

Basically, head for Malmesbury, Wiltshire then turn on your Sat Nav to the postcode.

The postcode you’ll need for Sat Nav is SN16 0JQ BUT, if your Sat Nav asks you to turn left in the village of Corston, DON’T! Just drive straight though Corston and into Malmesbury, then pick it up from there – it’s a LOT easier.

When can I arrive?

You can arrive on site anytime after 3pm on Friday 20th July to collect your wristbands and pitch your tent. The arena opens at 5pm and the fun starts at 6pm.

Where do I enter the site?

Well, it depends on whether or not you are camping and if you are camping, where you are camping! So, follow the instructions below that apply to you:

– I’m driving to Boondocks and NOT camping:

Follow the sign that includes “DAY PARKING” and you’ll enter the site at Yellow Gate. This is the first site entrance you’ll come across when driving from Malmesbury.

After you drive onto site, your tickets will be checked so please have them handy in the car. You will then be shown where to park.

Once parked, head to Box Office with your tickets and collect your wristbands.

– I’m walking to Boondocks and NOT camping:

We don’t recommend walking to Boondocks as there are sections of the road with no footpath or street lighting. If you do decide to walk, bring a torch, wear something bright and keep an eye on the kids.

Although not officially a festival entrance, you can get onto the site at the end of the footpath on Common Road which is probably safer than following the vehicles along Foxley Rd. But don’t forget the torch (it’s dark in the field at night!) and please remember that you are passing through a residential area so please be respectful toward local residents, especially late at night.

– I have a ‘festival’ camping tickets and I’m bringing a tent:

Follow signs to “FAMILY & FESTIVAL CAMPING” and you’ll enter the site at Yellow Gate. This is the first site entrance you’ll come across when driving from Malmesbury.

After you come onto site through Yellow Gate, your tickets will be checked so please have them handy in the car. You will then be shown where to park.

Once parked, you can then either visit Box Office with your tickets to collect your wristbands then pitch your tent in the area marked ‘festival camping.’ Or if Box Office looks busy, feel free to pitch your tent first, then go to Box Office with your tickets to collect your wristbands afterwards. Either way, parking is not far from the campsite so, it’s no biggy to pop back to the car to collect your gear and setup camp.

– I have ‘festival’ camping tickets and I’m bringing a camper or caravan:

Follow signs to “OTHER CAMPERVANS” or “CREW & ARTISTS” and you’ll enter the site through Blue Gate. This is the second site entrance you’ll come across when driving from Malmesbury.

When you arrive at Blue Gate, your tickets will be checked so please have them handy. You will then be shown where to park your camper or caravan.

If you have a caravan, you will need to park it, unhitch it, then park your car in the car park.

You can then head to the Box Office with your tickets to collect your wristbands.

– I have ‘premium’ camping tickets and I’m bringing my tent to Family Camping:

Follow signs to “FAMILY & FESTIVAL CAMPING” and you’ll enter the site at Yellow Gate. This is the first site entrance you’ll come across when driving from Malmesbury.

Once parked, you can then either visit Box Office with your tickets to collect your wristbands then pitch your tent in the area marked ‘Family camping.’ Or, if Box Office looks busy, feel free to go straight to Family Camping, pitch your tent, then go to Box Office with your tickets to collect your wristbands afterwards. Either way, parking is not far from Family Camping so, it’s no biggy to pop back to the car to collect your gear and setup camp.

– I have ‘premium’ camping tickets and I’m bringing my campervan or caravan to Family Camping:

Follow signs to “OTHER CAMPERVANS” or “CREW & ARTISTS” and you’ll enter the site at Blue Gate.

When you arrive at Blue Gate, your tickets will be checked so please have them handy in the car. You will then be directed towards Family Camping to park your camper or caravan.

If you have a caravan, you will need to park it, unhitch it, then park your car in the car park.

You can then head to the Box Office to collect your wristbands.

– I have ‘premium’ camping tickets and I’m bringing my tent to Tribal Camping:

Follow signs to TRIBAL CAMPING and you’ll enter the site at Purple Gate.

When you arrive at Purple Gate, your tickets will be checked so please have them handy in the car. You will then be shown where to park.

We recommend you then go to the Tribal Lands Box Office with your tickets and collect your wristbands before you setup your tent. (If you’re camping in a tribe, you might want to find your tribe and catch up with your mates first to work out where you’re all camping.)

– I have ‘premium’ camping tickets and I’m bringing my campervan or caravan to Tribal Camping:

Follow signs to TRIBAL CAMPING and you’ll enter the site at Purple Gate.

When you arrive at Purple Gate, your tickets will be checked so please have them handy. You will then be shown where to park.

If you have a caravan, you will need to park it, unhitch it, then park your car in the car park.

You can then go to the Tribal Lands Box Office with your tickets and collect your wristbands.

IMPORTANT FOR TRIBES – if you have a camper or caravan and want to park it in your own Tribal Area, you will be allowed into Tribal Camping early. Please make sure you park you camper or caravan in your Tribe Area between 1pm and 3pm, otherwise it may not be possible for you to get your vehicle into your Tribal Area.

– I’m glamping:

We‘re sure you will have already been in touch with David, our glamping host. He should have already agreed with you the best gate to use, according to where you want your glamping tent. There is no need for glampers to visit any box office – just arrive on site using the gate agreed with Dave, contact him and he’ll issue your wristbands in your tent for you.

And that’s it! Once you have your wristbands, and you’ve setup camp, settle in and the rest of the weekend is all yours.

See you at Boondocks! (Remember to print your tickets using the Download Tickets button below.)
